Last year we learned how Nayya was using data to help employees pick the best health plan. Founder and CTO, Akash Magoon told us that they were “restacking the financial odds in favor of American Families.” We loved that mission, and apparently, the market did too. Nayya has grown tremendously since we spoke and recently raised $55M in Series C financing.
Now that Nayya has helped us pick our plans, they are taking the next logical step to help us Use them.
On this episode, we talk with Satvik Gadamsetty, Engineering Manager for the Use squad at Nayya. Satvik helps us to understand why this step is important, how they are approaching it in a data-driven way, and how their engineering approach maintains focus on the consumer as their north star.
In addition to getting to know more about the Use product, you’ll learn about the engineering principles that are being applied to make it a reality. We discuss telemetry, deployment, prioritization, and much more.
Satvik Gadamsetty
Satvik Gadamsetty serves as the engineering manager of the Use squad at Nayya supporting engineering and product development efforts focused on ensuring customers maximize the usage of their benefits. Prior to Nayya, Satvik was an engineering manager at Cigna leading the architecture, engineering, and deployment of novel methodologies aimed at improving patient access, quality, and affordability of care. Satvik began his career working across the manufacturing, research, and analytics divisions at Merck & Co. Inc., where his focus was on leveraging data to improve decision-making around cost of goods sold, quality of products manufactured, and improvement in clinical trial outcomes.

This is one of the most stressful and challenging situations consumers face – and we see that as an opportunity to build an innovative response that can help millions of Americans possess the control and understanding they deserve. Join the consumers and their employers that are now living with more peace and confidence at Nayya.com.
About the product
Empowering users with the tools, visibility, and confidence to use their benefits to the fullest extent all year-round is critical to preserving confidence in the elections made during open enrollment. By putting a user’s benefit elections in the context of their wellness, access-to-care, and care-related spend, Nayya uses the richness of a user’s claim data to identify opportunities and engage with the user where they are in life. Moreover, a user can access these benefits on-the-go thanks to the newly-minted Nayya mobile app.
